Scór in Clonaslee

SCÓR NA N-ÓG


Clonaslee St. Manmans G.A.A. Club played host to Laois Scor na nOg Final on Saturday 5 th November in the  Community Centre. CamorSs Kyle, Clonaslee St. Manmans, Park Rathaniska, Annaknock and Portlaoise all took part in a variety of competitions which included traditional music and singing, ballad group, recitation, novelty act and quiz for children under  17.

The following children represented Clonaslee St. Manmans:-
Singing: Roisin Scully, Mary Conway, Ciara Foynes
Recitation: Monica Conway (poem "Give Respect Get Respect")
Quiz: Roisin Scully, Cecelia  Flynn, Mary Conway
Noevlty Act\; Aoibheann Lalor, Emma Lalor,  Sophie Lalor, Cecelia Flynn,
Roisin Scully, Mary Conway, Monica Conway (play "4 and nine- Dinner for 1")
While Clonaslee St. Manmans were not successful this time, the children performed very well, and  the evening was enjoyed by all.  
Refreshments were served on the night and we thank those who baked and served on the night.  And a big thank you to the organisers who helped make the night so enjoyable.  The County Board Official who attended on the  night were Niall Handy, Gerry Kavanagh,  Paschal McEvoy, and Members of the County Scor Committee. M.C. for the competition was Michael Martin.

Clonaslee St. Manmans would like to thank the Community Centre for the facilities on the night, and a special thank you to Eugene Doolan for his help during the event.

Scor na bPaiste will be held in the New Year and members attending local primary schools are encouraged to take part in this fun event. Any adults who wish to be involved and help out please contact Margaret Conway on 05786 48469 (evenings).
